This workshop will enhance Community Services Workers and Advocates empathetic understanding of grief in its many forms, including the unique challenges presented by ongoing bereavement, suicide, PTSD, and the losses associated with aging. The training will explore the impact of grief, including vicarious trauma, and discuss our fundamental needs during times of sorrow. Learn to recognise signs that indicate the need for professional support, ensuring both the well-being of clients and those supporting clients.

The training will explore,
- Definition of grief vs trauma and shock
- Understanding grief needs and the range of responses to grief
- Best Practice and support approaches
- Recognising when to refer for specialised care and resources available

This training will be both face to face and via online platforms for those in regional areas. The training will provide Community Service Workers and Advocates with the skills and resources to support those navigating loss of all kinds.
