The objectives of the event are to:
1. Recognise the advantages and potential challenges of interviewing
2. Build knowledge and skills to manage potential challenges
3. Identify helpful interview techniques and appropriate questions to create a safe environment for Veterans and their families
4. Examine the impact of interviewing techniques when supporting a Veteran and their family.
5. Build resilience of both the Veteran and the person providing support by building skills
6. Increase understanding about legal documents such as a will or power of attorney
7. Provide a platform for networking and relationship building between RSL Vic volunteers.
8. Provide a platform for the sharing of ideas and resources.
9. Promote the health and wellbeing of advocates.
10. Learn about different ESOs.
Delivery mode
The workshop will be delivered face to face as well as via the Microsoft Teams application.
This will allow RSL Vic representatives across the State to.
Assessment method
All attendees will to participate in the case studies/practice exercises that will be included in the workshop.
