Understanding and accessing the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Aged Care Services Webinar Series

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) are hosting eight free interactive educational webinars. The aim of the webinars is to inform health professionals, community workers, veterans and their families about the services that are available in the aged care sector.

We encourage you to join us for all webinars in the series or for just those that are of interest to you. Upon registration you will receive the link and instructions about how to access the webinar on the day. This will be emailed to you again 24 hours and 2 hours before the event. Details of the first two webinars are below.

Webinar 2: Tues 26 May 2020, 11-11.30am –Veterans’ Home Care, provides a range of services to support clients live independently at home.

By attending this webinar, you will learn:

  • about the range of support available through Veterans’ Home Care
  • eligibility requirements for Veterans’ Home Care
  • how to access Veterans’ Home Care

Webinar 3: Tues 26 May 2020, 2-2.30pm DVA’s Respite and Convalescent Care supports clients and their carers.  

By attending this webinar, you will learn:

  • the types of respite care available through DVA
  • when respite and convalescent care may be suitable
  • accessing respite and convalescent care
